I am inspired by the beauty and simple elegance of nature. My hope is to express and share that inspiration through my work.
I use all free-range deer and elk leathers to create a variety of accessories for men and women.
My introduction to leatherworking was in 1988 when I began working with my aunt making sheathes for a knife maker. I took a basic leather class in college but my Aunt Karen has been my main teacher, and the rest has been self-taught. I began my career in 1996 when I joined a craft co-op, Hands Gallery, and began doing shows.
My work is still available through Hands in Boone and I do a number of shows throughout the year.
I live in beautiful Boone, NC, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains with my precious daughter, Juliet. I work out of my shop at home, and on the front porch whenever its sunny!
